I was sitting on a beach in St. Thomas listening to the waves crash on the shore, birds flying overhead and watching the boats rock back and forth.
One of the boats was named Someday Came. Not only is that a very clever name but it got me thinking. Many people say one day. One day, they’ll be happy. One day, they’ll retire. One day, they’ll follow their dreams. Peter Gibbons from Office Space said it best:
So I was sitting in my cubicle today, and I realized, ever since I started working, every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. So that means that every single day that you see me, that’s on the worst day of my life.
Pretty sad, huh?
Everyone has those moments. Everyone wonders where their life is heading and if they’re on the right track. Everyone has those days when it all seems for naught and regardless of whatever strides forward are made, there are bound to be more strides backwards.
Unfortunately for most people, they never provide themselves the opportunity to be happy. They never take a chance on themselves. What can you do? Make a change! Life is too short to be miserable. Do what makes you happy and it’s never work. Take a chance on yourself!
